The red carpet at the Emmy’s this year was all about color. Here are my top 6 looks.
#6 goes to Jessica Pare in custom Jason Wu. Black and White was HUGE on the Spring runways. So, it was nice to see it on the red carpet. This dress flows beautifully and the little touch of black adds elegance. Very simple and very flattering!
#5 goes to Julianne Moore in Christian Dior Couture. Julianne Moore always takes chances on the red carpet and this year it paid off. I love the how the dress is so dramatic at the bottom and very form fitting at the top. It makes her look young and fresh yet sophisticated.
#4 goes to Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan. When I saw this look on the red carpet, I was immediately drawn to the top of the dress. The detail in it is amazing and the pop of orange at the bottom is a simple compliment that brings balance to the dress.
#3 goes to Jane Levy in Pamella Roland. This dress is a blue beauty. The neckline is sexy without showing too much. I love how you can see her shoes peeking out at the bottom and the bit of sheerness to the fabric is shown. The train adds another special touch to the dress that makes the whole thing just beautiful.
#2 goes to Padma Lakshmi in Monique Lhuillier. The color was a prefect choice for Padma’s skin tone. It looks great on her. My favorite feature of this dress is the drama at the bottom. The dress really compliments her figure and shows off all the curves in all the right places.
#1 goes to Julie Bowen in Monique Lhuillier. So where do I start with this beauty. The color is AMAZING! Yellow was definitely having a comeback moment on the red carpet this year.I love how the dress seems to wrap around her like a mummy wrap and then all the fabric is freed at the bottom. The dress has style, drama, beauty… everything a red carpet gown should be. Great Great choice Julie!
